We are constantly working to expand our local pest section. Some pests may not be included in the list, and we ask for your understanding as we work to complete this section for you!
Fresh Air
We usually don't even think about it, but with the recent threats of bioterrorism and widespread flu outbreak, everyone has been concerned about the possibility of airbourne illnesses in the form of viruses, bacteria or fungi (mold) infecting buildings we work, learn, play, eat and live in.
Until recently, the medical industry was the only industry using UVGI (Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation) as a means of destroying infectious particles. Now, with more education, the public and particularly those who make "air" their business (heating and air conditioning professionals or ventilation providers) are beginning to utilize the benefits of UVGI.
How UV Works
UV light treatment has been around since the early 1990s. Most people today are aware of UV Light because it is recommended that our skin is not exposed to high levels - thus the encouragement to use UV protection when outdoors. UV Light however, at proper levels breakdown or neutralize the molecular structure of harmful particles like viruses, bacteria, fungi (mold) when used with air filter systems indoors.
The UV lamps are either mounted in the duct work of air filtration systems to treat the flowing air, mounted in the ceiling of a room, or simply used to control growth of microbes on the air filtration systems themselves. UVGI is meant to complement and not to replace traditional air filtration systems. UVGI alone has no filtration advantage as dust build up compromises germicidal elimination.
FAQ's
Below are a few answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. If you don't see the answer to your questions please feel free to contact us.
Q) What do you mean by Chemical Invasion?
Many exterminators feel the best way to eliminate pests is the use strong chemicals that kill or deter pests. While this is a solution - it is not always the best solution.
We believe that an overall evaluation, including identifying the source of the problem, better serves our clients. Our goal is to use the least amount of chemicals possible, yet still solve the problem. This provides for less health concerns and more fresh air!
Q) How long have you been in business?
We have been serving the Rochester area for more than 10 years.
Q) Are you a local company?
Yes, we are locally owned and operated. Fresh Air Pest Control is wholly owned by the Brayboy family.
Q) Why do I need an exterminator, what about the home products?
Home products are very good eliminating some pest. However, they are designed to treat scattered patterns, and very rarely get to the root of the problem. You can say that they solve the symptom not the problem.
